Bill Gassett wrote a post today titled “Accompanied Showings in Real Estate Don’t Create Sales” and I fully agree with what he said with the exception of new construction listings. Showing a resale property is much different than showing a model home with upgrades or a new home under construction.
We often receive calls from buyer agents who have not previewed the new community and have no idea what is available or what is included for specifications or available for optional extras. Buyer agents are always thankful when we offer to accompany their showings of our new construction.
Buyer agents will actually take a back seat and allow us to give the entire tour and answer all of the questions. Our accompanying those showings usually leads to a sale for a buyer’s agent who would never have closed their buyer without us.
We make life simple for buyer agents when we accompany new construction showings, and it’s another feather in our hat in the eyes of our builders. Accompanied showings in new construction communities could easily be considered a requirement for a deal to happen, and we’re always available for every showing. We like those deals!!!
