Not all markets are tough markets. My team members are listing agents, and they are continually receiving offers from buyer agents who preface the delivery of their offer with a brief narrative describing how challenging the market is right now. Of course, our response is that we recommend they waste no time in meeting the seller at his price because there are four other showings scheduled and two are second showings.
The market is difficult in many areas of the country, but our area is moving. We are listing new property and restocking the shelves as buyers continue to pick and choose their favorite property from our inventory. If a home is priced within reason, it sells within 2 or 3 weeks.
So, buyer's agent, you think you have us over a barrel? You delivered an offer to us and negotiated to the final penny, and once everything was signed, you withdrew your offer. You proceeded to make an offer on another property. We hear about everything!!! In the meantime, we have a better offer than yours, and now you want our property again.
Get your head out of the sand!! The new offer is better, and the seller doesn’t want to work with you again. How’s that for describing a tough market?
