I just read a post by Marte Cliff titled “Bad News Is Dangerous-Delete It” and it inspired me to add my two cents!! I’ve always been a promoter of blogging about what we do for a living. Unless potential buyers read or hear what we’re doing, how will they know?
The best way to neutralize the acidic information that the media passes along is to post all of the positive experiences that are happening in our marketplace. Some of the many posts that I write about are “another” pending sale; a closed transaction; a new listing; graphs that indicate pending sales in the marketplace; graphs of closed transactions in the marketplace; and agent production graphs, just to name a few.
There are many ways to maintain a forward motion with business. Post your direct mail marketing postcards online before they are mailed. People will be doubly reinforced with “Free Market Analysis” offerings and Just Listed information. The just listed is very important to post online and use the keywords of “free market analysis.” Potential sellers feel comfortable listing with agents who have other inventory. It’s a secure feeling. People like to deal with successful people.
We’ll only survive if we put the effort into surviving. It’s not going to happen unless we help it along, one seller at a time. What are you posting this week?? Or haven’t you planned that yet!!
