One of the comments on my post this morning mentioned that a few of the agents in this commenter’s office have jumped ship. Business has slowed and the agents who decided to change offices felt that moving to another office would provide more business for them.
Folks, we are each responsible for our own business. To change offices and blame the previous office for your lack of production does not make sense. An office is as good as the agents who work there. If there is a very productive office in your area, the reason is that the agents who work there are industrious agents.
To blame a place of business for an agent’s non production is futile. If your office provides you with an Internet server and other necessary business machines, the burden is on you, the agent, to make your phone ring. The onus is not the broker/owner’s to hand you business.
The responsibility lies on your shoulders to make your phone ring and to create your own income. If you need a mentor to train you, that’s your responsibility too. If your office does not have a mentoring program, enroll in a program. There are many available today. It’s just too easy to blame others for our weaknesses rather than strengthening them ourselves.
