Some Agents Can't Close A Door...Forget About Closing A Listing!!!

As the economy continues to decline and we hear about the stock market tanking and retirement accounts on their way down again, we need to sharpen our closing skills for our future listing appointments.  The competition will become more intense.  Agents will be tougher than ever to compete with because their survival will depend on their ability to close.

This type of market has enjoyable moments for those who get pleasure from “the kill” of closing a listing.  Listing presentations must be revamped now.  A new overhaul of material must provide a “face lift” that will reflect the most current methods of marketing.  We are marketing agents, and what we present to sellers will determine whether or not we close that listing. 

Our enthusiasm must radiate; our knowledge of the product must shine through; our ability to market needs to be readily available for them to see; and our successful experience as “listing agents” needs to trump all others.   Energy is essential and part of marketing real estate is the ability to market ourselves.  Nothing is more effective than a positive, powerful presentation of a property that is complimented with the presence of an assertive, knowledgeable and enthusiastic real estate agent.  There are some agents who can’t close a door, much less a listing….and there are others who will give you a run for your money!!!  Are you ready for this?
