Our business is a race to the top, isn’t it? It’s a challenge every day and a test that will result in an advancement if we perform properly. For some, the word race will be questioned.
It IS a race. Those who lag behind will lose a potential deal on a listing or miss a home that could have been sold by them. Time is of the essence, in so many ways, in our business.
If you don’t believe this, take your eyes off the ball for a moment. I assure you there will be another agent there to catch what you miss. You’ll miss an opportunity. There are too many agents who are looking for the same score; the same hit; the same prize; the same opportunity, and that competition does not allow us the privilege of slackening for a moment.
As the market becomes more challenging, the competition becomes more intense because business is diluted. When business is weak, agents need to prospect with incredible strength in order to maintain production. Real estate is a never ending race without a finish line, and those who have endurance are the winners.
