Many of us are in the process of reviewing our production for 2011 and preparing our new game plan for 2012. As a very important part of our new plan for 2012, we should all reserve a section for planning our online marketing.
Internet marketing should not be “hit or miss.” Internet marketing needs to be as consistently accomplished as direct mail marketing. One is as important to me as the other.
My online marketing started with ActiveRain on September 30,2009, and I’ve not missed one day of blogging. Today, I have two Wordpress blogs and I also blog on Trulia. I use Realbird faithfully for all of our listings and subdivisions, and I make a point of visiting that site every day to update the inventory and make changes.
I have a blogging schedule that I adhere to faithfully. Certain days are for inventory posts; other days are for writing posts on a variety of real estate topics; open house events are always posted on Thursdays; weekends are less intense and I may produce some lighter blog posts with photos of family and Rocky’s NFL picks!! Weekends are basically a networking opportunity.
If one does not have a blogging schedule or program to follow, there is a good chance this task will find itself at the bottom of the list of things to do. Internet marketing should always be at the top of your list. A marketing program with Internet marketing included will be a reminder that it’s a priority and a requirement for a successful 2012.
