Everyone in business needs to have management skills. Most agents will never manage or own a real estate office, but that does not mean that their management ability does not have to be developed. Every agent is faced daily with management tasks, and his/her ability to perform those tasks properly with good decision-making will determine the success of his/her business.
Listing agents have an order that needs to be maintained and controlled regarding their inventory. This is especially true of new construction communities with a large number of units. There has to be an organized system and routine applied continually without any voids or interruptions. The process of controlling a mass of agents who stroll in and out of these communities is a full time job, but with a plan and some organization skills, the job can be done properly.
There is never a shortage of disruptions in the management program for a new community. The more organized and controlled the systems are, the easier the process will become. The operation that runs efficiently, with methods in place, is the one that results in closings that are pleasant experiences for the client, the builder and the agents. New homeowners always communicate with each other, and the positive attitude about the community is what we strive to achieve.
