Much of the real estate business is instinctive. How many times have you been on the fence with a situation and had to use your “gut feeling” to determine how you would proceed? This happens frequently in our business.
Every time we meet with a potential seller, it’s rarely cut and dry. It’s usually a new and different series of events that have taken place within that family’s financial picture and that leads to many unknowns. If we are to list this property, we will be forced to make many decisions before we see a closing table and most of those decisions will be derived from our instincts.
Our “gut feeling” is really our ability to make good business decisions. Do you question or challenge your instincts, or are you confident with your ability to make decisions? Sometimes we’re over confident and that can lead us into a hell hole!!!! At that point, we need to be really creative with our ability to put spin on the situation and twirl right into a safe zone. Looking back on many years of doing business, we had a very strong “gut” and we could spin, when needed. How about you?
