I often think about how wonderfully easy business would be if I were tech savvy. Well, we can’t be everything to everyone, and that’s why we have specialty areas with professionals who are well versed in technology, staging, home improvements, financing and blogging, to name just a few areas.
We all want to cut corners financially and spend as little as we need to, in order to survive in this challenging market. Are we short changing ourselves by attempting to conquer what others have been educated to master? When we attempt to create our own website or blogging site, and we have no knowledge of the important plug-ins necessary and other important features and connections, are we saving money or is it costing us significantly more money than we realize?
I’m thinking about this now because of my Wordpress Blog problems. I have been using a very simple Wordpress site that I created. That should tell you how inept that site was!! How much further ahead could I have been if I had hired a professional for “short money” to create a Wordpress blog that has everything it should have? How many more phone calls would I have generated for my team?
We all try to budget and trim dollars whenever possible. More often than not, we are trimming dollars from our income, and we don’t realize it until we take a step back and understand that the best money spent is the money used to hire a “professional” to do the job. It’s something similar to hiring a real estate agent to sell a home rather than selling it FSBO!!!
