Planning, planning, and planning. The real estate business is nothing more than a plan in motion every day.The listings we secure during the month of August should be our winter closings. We are already marketing our listings that will close in the fall. Those transactions should be happening this month and in September. We are now working on September and October closings.
There are only five months remaining in 2011, and that’s not much time to acquire new listings for winter income.I’ve beefed up the frequency of our team’s self- promotion posts; my free market analysis posts were submitted on three blogging sites; and postcard mailings are done monthly for each of my team members in their respective towns.
Marketing is an ongoing task that should have no interruptions. If you have a void or a slow month with closings, review what you did two to three months earlier, and you’ll probably find a gap in your marketing. The most frequent problem agents have is avoiding the gaps in marketing.
When an agent has a “run of accepted offers” the marketing usually stops during that process of working toward a purchase and sales agreement. That’s the gap!!!It’s difficult to continue to market and work at the same time, but it’s necessary in order to produce top results.Plan it and use your time wisely.
