Prospecting is one of the most important tasks that a real estate agent has to accomplish every day. Yes, every day!! I write many posts on prospecting and the various methods available today. Many of the comments that agents leave on my posts reflect a sense of wanting to do it, but they need to be nudged.
Prospecting is too important to need a nudge to do it. It reminds me of a famous quote by Annie Gottlier, a motivator and consultant in the perfume industry, who says, "It's so hard when I have to, and so easy when I want to."
The key to prospecting is to find the method that you "want to do every day." If you can find that prospecting procedure that excites you and that you find interesting, prospecting will be done every day without a nudge or a "to do list."
Since we all "have to prospect" for new business, isn't it best to find the method that makes you "want to" prospect so you'll do it frequently? It certainly works for me, and I'm sure it will work well for you, too.
