Do you know where your future business will come from? This seems like a silly question to ask seasoned, professional real estate agents, but I’m confident there are many who are not sure what the answer is.
Prospecting for new business is what we must do every day in order to stay in business. We all know that marketing consistently is what we spend money on to make the phone ring. Everything we do in real estate does not have to cost money.
Prospecting for business is a time consuming task that must be done every day. There are many ways to prospect for new business. Networking is the most popular and most productive way to prospect for new business.
The more people you meet, the greater your chance of making the right contact that will result in future business. Meeting people can be accomplished through open house events; joining business networking groups; participating in local organizations; volunteering to help with local events; and involving yourself in many functions.
Learn to be the Mayor or the Governor. Prospecting is like politicking without telling half truths!! Prospecting for new business is an everyday event. It can be done at the coffee shop in the morning; at a local restaurant in the afternoon; and at a function in the evening.
Mealtimes are the easiest for prospecting, but anytime is a good time to meet and greet people we know and people we don’t know. The more you prospect for new business, the more stable your business will be in the future. What we do now will determine how solid and secure our future real estate business and income will be.
