I'll start this brief post by saying that one person's debris is another person's treasure. That's the theory upon which yard sales are based. You put your junk in the front yard and the crowd picks away at it. The same theory happens with real estate agents.
I've dismissed agents and another office or team will hire them. Not everyone is capable of becoming a top producer. There are offices and teams who will hire an agent just to add another body. I could never understand the reasoning for that action. Not all trash is to be recycled, and that is true also of real estate agents.
According to Jay Beckingham's post the 80/20 rule is a rule that has always applied to our industry and many others. Management focuses on that 20%. My efforts are in that direction and the results of those efforts are always positive. If I'm going to dedicate my time and energy, I want positive results.
