Have you ever called an agent and the recording that you hear states that you should leave a message and all phone calls will be returned between 3:00pm and 5:00pm? How does an agent get away with this?
Imagine calling at 9:00am and having to wait all day for a return phone call? Whatever happened to quality customer service? Response time is very important and it’s a reflection of your attitude about doing business. The phone greeting might as well say “don’t bother me.”
If I’m a potential client who is searching for an agent, I’m not going to select one who makes me wait all day for a return phone call. My team’s market analysis calls are returned within 15 minutes from the time I refer it or the call goes to another agent, and the agent doesn’t have to be on my team. That’s a rule!!
Participating in a transaction with an agent who returns phone calls once a day within a two hour window has all the ingredients needed to become the “deal from hell.” I hope we never have to deal with this type of agent.
