Marketing is what keeps your real estate business moving in the right direction. It's through marketing that we find new buyers and new inventory to sell. In this challenging real estate environment, the path of least resistance for any real estate agent is to find a niche.
It's not difficult to find an area that you enjoy, first and foremost, and then be certain that this entity is one with which your area has an ample supply. If new construction is your choice, make sure there are enough subdivisions and builders actively working, as an example. If you select the wrong niche, it'll bury you.
Selecting more than one niche is commonplace. My team and I have several niches. We are listing agents and market for new inventory, continually. We have four subdivisions, presently, and new construction is another niche. We also have specific entities within that new construction niche such as "age restricted communities, high end homes and new condos for all age groups." Each of these subcategories requires separate marketing. They are each a separate niche.
Marketing is made simple if you are marketing a specific entity, a niche. Your business will increase and your income will soar if you focus on specific topics. There will be no floundering to stay alive. Multiple niche areas are very desirable. When one area is slow, another will carry you through those tough times.
It's analogous to putting all of your eggs in one basket!!! We've been conditioned to not put all of our eggs in one basket with blogging, haven't we??? Now it's time to focus on our methods for marketing and making the phone ring, and it starts with selecting a niche. Blogging will also be much easier if you have a niche to market. You'll never be without a topic to discuss. Now, doesn't that sound appealing??
