This has been an inspirational filled morning. The most recent post I've read is Lenn Harley's "Train Like A Champion And You'll Become One! Real Estate Is High Level Competition!" I'm confident that post will be featured today, and everyone should read it.
After I read it, what came to my mind first was that in order to become a champion, one not only needs to train, but one needs to have the self-confidence to present himself/herself as a champion. Having the "know how" is essential, but "knowing how" to present it is another feat.
I've met some very intelligent agents, and I sometimes feel that there is one element missing from their arsenal. They have mastered the rules and the techniques, but there is a void. That gap, in my opinion, is usually their confidence to deliver. That person may be a perfectionist, and we all know how "imperfect" selling real estate to potential buyers can be!!!
After training, training and training, one needs the self-confidence to execute without diluting their presentation with reasons for the potential client to select him/her. If you know your role, take the step forward and present it with confidence and self-assurance that you are the only person to call to get the job done. Say it like you believe it...and market like you mean it!!
