Networking is a great way to find business. Who do you network with? Do you have attorneys, accountants and mortgage officers, to name just a few categories of contacts, who might be considered good links for future business?
Many real estate agents have an entire sphere of influence that would have a wealth of future business to be referred to them, and they don’t take advantage of these connections. Real estate attorneys are a great source. My team continually receives referrals from local attorneys. Builders have been referred to us; land owners have been directed to us; and individuals who have homes that are part an estate are guided our way.
Accountants are another great source because they are usually the first phone call made before any decisions about buying and selling are finalized. It’s a wise move to introduce yourself. Become the first name associated with real estate. Remember, one good turn deserves another.
Referring your business to several attorneys, accountants and mortgage officers can easily result in those particular professionals remembering you as their real estate agent of choice, if they have a client who needs your services. Tap into those resources. It’s an ideal way to receive some good business. Real estate is not an individual sport. It takes many sources to move toward the top. Ask for the business....get the help.....your business will continue to grow and move in the right direction.
