The Survivors Become Stronger As The Non-Productive Are Eliminated!!!

Yesterday was a 12 hour continuing education course for me, and one of the first observations that I made was the reduced size of the class compared to two years ago.  There were at least 50 agents in the class two years ago, and this one had 12 of us.  Of the 12 participants, only four were active agents, and the remaining agents were inactive.  It's a sign of the times.  As the economy continues to decline, there will be another decrease two years from now.  I would expect that decline to be moderate because we have already eliminated the majority of dead weight, in my opinion.

The agents who have been prospecting and marketing properly will continue to capture business, and those who have not will find themselves in another profession.  Actually, the class had a few appraisers who were previously real estate agents.  We'll be seeing more of that type of professional linking and then crossing over to another profession.  If this type of professional musical chairs continues, our working conditions will become much more desirable, and we'll not only make more money, but we'll be doing it with less stress and aggravation.  The majority of agents who survive will be seasoned, professional, well educated and a pleasure to do business with.  Wake me....I must be dreaming!!!!
