Is there a special talent involved with becoming a real estate agent? What special skills do you have? Every profession requires some distinct talent.
A surgeon's hands are his remarkable tool for that specialty in the medical profession. A litigation attorney's eloquence provides him with the power he needs to soar to a top ranking. An architect's creativity and vision provides that professional with the ability to command his career.
What does a real estate agent have that separates that individual from the rest? Are we considered a "Jack of all trades?" I won't complete that figure of speech with "master of none!" Our profession requires some knowledge of many components.
We need to know some facts about real estate law, sales, appraising, construction, architecture, math, communication skills, technology and much more. I wonder how many people actually know what it takes to be a successful real estate agent.
The competition is fierce; the education requirements for the current state of the art methods of marketing are voluminous; staying up to date with financing and a glut of other areas makes our profession like no other. How many hats do you wear?
