There were many comments on a post that I wrote yesterday concerning the duty of broker/owners to maintain an office with productive agents and to eliminate the non-productive. Many of the comments suggested that it's the broker/owners burden and responsibility to provide all of the tools necessary for the agents to become successful. I fully disagree with that premise.
The broker/owner provides a place to do business and the errors and omissions insurance to cover your errors. The onus is on the agent to prepare a game plan for success based on that agent's capabilities. We all know what our limitations are, and therefore, we are the only ones who are capable of providing a business plan for success.
The hand holding exercise of the broker/owner leading the way through the dark alleys of the real estate journey are long gone. The Internet is your guide, and your broker/owner should have his office equipped with the proper server and phone system. The rest is up to you, the agent, to focus on business and soar to the top!!! Agree????
