We work in an industry that presents us with a variety of challenges every day. Every real estate agent has to struggle to maintain a certain level of production, and being accountable to ourselves for our everyday routine is a traditional state.
ActiveRain provides a wonderful avenue to assist us with improving our work ethic. We have recently been presented with many "ActiveRain Challenges" such as the 31 Day in December Challenge by Jennifer Prestwich, the 30 Day Blogging Challenge by Karen Bernetti and many more that I unfortunately missed. These are great opportunities to establish a healthy business habit of posting blogs every day and committing to and sharing with others our work habits.
There are 197,448 ActiveRain members and only a small fraction of these members participate in the challenges. It's a great way to network with productive members and to actually read what others are doing to make their phone ring. I enjoy reading as many as I can find, and I've subscribed to many members because of these challenges. We like to surround ourselves with successful people as Christopher Somers has interestingly written today. Stop by and read it.
ActiveRain has designed a Leaderboard to encourage competition and to increase the number of blogs posted. The day the Leaderboard appeared, I was on page 4 and #192 on ActiveRain. I wasn't happy with that!!! Today I find myself on page 2 and #93 of 197,448, after 14 months on ActiveRain. Their system is working!!!!
Competition is healthy. It's good to have new blood working its way to the first page. Working on ActiveRain is no different than working with other methods of production. Dedicate and commit to a certain amount of time every day, and before you realize it, you'll be on the next page of your journey.
