What happens when you combine Internet marketing with back to basic methods of prospecting? The result is a very successful chorus of marketing!! There are many agents who focus their attention on one form of marketing, and it takes more than one method to reap maximum benefits today. This is a market as we've never experienced before!!
"Back to basics" prospecting for new business is obviously my favorite. There‘s something to be said about being trained in the day when basics were taught. No one teaches basics now. The focus is solely Internet marketing.
The Internet is a critical part of prospecting, and it is the only method that allows one to market to the masses. We need to take advantage of Internet exposure and use it consistently. However, to focus and use only on current methods of marketing is short-sighted.
Back to basic methods of direct mail marketing, knocking on doors and using the phone are just a few of the more popular ways we found business years ago. My choice is direct mail marketing, and it's been producing listings for me for decades. Now I use it in concert with blogging. My URL for my outside blog is on every postcard. This will increase my readership, and I know it works. The numbers of non members who post on my blog are increasing. Not all of them are local, which also means they are finding me online.
Internet marketing can stand alone, but for the greatest impact, combine it with a "back to basics" method of prospecting. When knocking on doors, a printed flyer with a theme of neighborhood information always works well. If you add your URL for your outside blog to the bottom of this printed material, the flyer will really "go a long way" to market you!!!
Back to basics methods of marketing, combined with Internet marketing, is the right formula for prospecting for new business. Try it....you may become a true believer in the marketing methods that never get old!!!
