The real estate market is always the last to rally. Our efforts need to reflect that statement. Internet marketing is our saving grace. Without it, we would be spending money every month to make the phone ring.
Our office is now blogging for business, and I expect many more real estate offices in the future to take on that task. It's the best method today to make the phone ring. When I finish my Monday blogging of inventory, I always feel that I need to do more, and because of that thought, I blog on two sites now. Google gives me good placement with both.
The best aspect of blogging as a marketing tool is that you can participate without the need to think about dollars spent. That alone is a comforting thought. Many of the comments that I receive on ActiveRain reflect the desire to blog, but it hasn't happened as often as it should according to the commenter.
If one submits a post every day, as with the 30 day challenge by "Karen Bernetti," then the next step of increasing that volume will eventually come into play. If the phone calls are too many to handle, then form a team or refer them to others. It will not interfere with your blogging schedule, and the income will be there in the form of referral fees.
Creating a plan, and designing a routine for this task is important right now and will be more critical in the future. Take a moment to think about what you're doing with your time during business hours and adjust that use wisely. If you don't have time to write a blog post about your inventory or a localism post, hire someone to blog for you. There are "ghost writers" everywhere. It may save you in the future.
