My last brief narrative post on prospecting had a comment by an agent who shared that she had no time for prospecting. The reason was that once a prospect surfaces, the work begins. She was right. Time management is a tough task. Balancing the day with working the prospects and prospecting for more potential clients is a difficult mission.
There are solutions to this dilemma. The easiest way to resolve this undertaking is to hire an individual to work on a referral fee basis and have this person market you and prospect for new business. The person would be hired on a 1099 basis. The person does not need to be licensed, but it would certainly be more beneficial if there was real estate license in place. The license would enable the person to have some understanding of the program and the goals to be accomplished.
With licensing and some experience, that person could pinch-hit with some showing opportunities and giving information on the phone to potential clients and other agents would be possible. This is exactly what I do now for a living and my marketing results in referral fees for me. Considering the job description and the referral fee of a standard 20%, the income is significant. If the phone doesn't ring, there is no income for the marketing agent. That's great incentive to do the job right!!!!
I never do anything other than marketing, and most of my time is spent online. It's a great job, and if one needs help with prospecting and marketing, this is the right direction, in my opinion. Why try to reinvent the wheel? Just hire the right person, and the wheel will move in the right direction by itself.
