One good turn deserves another. It’s the concept of reciprocity. It’s the give and take of the networking. If you are one of the many participants of ActiveRain who have written posts about how to improve the number of comments received, this is my opinion of that problem.
The more you comment on the posts of others, the more comments you’ll receive. Just as in any business transaction, “one-sided participation” does not work well. The more you give, the more you’ll receive. This applies to your participation on ActiveRain.
If you’re not satisfied with the number of comments you receive, comment more on the posts of others. It’s a mutual understanding that every comment should have a response, and then the author of the post receiving the comment should comment on the post of the commenter. Whew…
That’s a lot of commenting, but that’s blogging etiquette. As more people read a post, the better the opportunity for that post to be “suggested” as a featured post. The more featured posts one is granted, the greater the exposure for that post; and with that exposure, an increase in subscribers will follow. There is a sequence and a logic to ActiveRain. Follow the program and the number of comments will increase; the number of features will improve; the number of subscribers will multiply; and you’ll feel like an active participant on ActiveRain.
Actively working in the real estate business requires consistent attention and focus. The same is to be said of networking, as an important part of marketing. Working on ActiveRain is networking. There is a method and if the program is followed properly, it makes sense that the results of all aspects of ActiveRain will be in your favor.
