It's time to start thinking about February's postcard and what it will say. I mailed to two towns, Franklin, Ma. and Bellingham, Ma., in the month of January. That was a total of 12,000+ postcards. I received 13 listing calls, and that was double what I expected to receive. I'm extremely happy with the results. My team members have appointments this week to sign up several of those listings. We still have two appointments to present listing presentations, and two of those 13 calls will list at the end of Feb. or beginning of March. There were three that decided not to sell. Our resale listing inventory for 2010 will be in great shape within the next couple of weeks, and we have started our new year with very good momentum because of direct mail marketing.
The postcard mailings will continue every month without interruption throughout the year, and I will update you on the listings closed on July 1st. I encourage all of you who have not attempted this type of marketing to take the initiative to try it, even if it's for a four or five month period. The time is right, and we all know that timing is very important in this business. Don't miss this window of opportunity. 
Most real estate agents are not spending their money on marketing today, and there are many homeowners who need and want to move. Send the postcard and make it easy for them to respond. It's much easier for a homeowner to respond to a postcard rather than flipping through the yellow pages and not having a name for whom to ask when the call is made. Let them take you up on your offer for a "Free Market Analysis" and start your year off on the right foot, just as we did
