There are many features that the 55+ age group buyer wants to see included in their sale. The number one feature that all of them require is the "first floor master bedroom suite." That's one of the primary reasons for moving to this concept. Eliminating the stairs is very important and for many, even if there is a set of stairs to a second floor with a second bedroom and bathroom, everyday living does not require the use of that stairway.
Some other features that are expected are as follows:

•2. Wider doorways and hallways for future wheelchair accessibility
•3. Open floor plan for easy movement
•4. Minimal stairs to garage and outside
•5. First floor laundry
•6. Attached garage not under
•7. Level lots and driveways with no slopes for easy walking
•8. Rear deck and front farmers porches are a big plus
This is a list of those features that this age group anticipates seeing in a new condo. There are other standards specifications such as granite, tile, hardwood and a gas fireplace in the family room. Stainless appliances are also a big favorite. If you include the right specifications and features, and continually compare your allowances with other projects to remain competitive, your product will sell.
