Your Finest Closing Technique....Become A Chameleon

One of the most important talents that an agent can develop is the ability to become a chameleon.  Each day we deal with a wide variety of personalities and people from all walks of life.  They are both buyers and sellers.  We need to acquire the capability of mirroring the person with whom we are working.  To be able to blend into any situation with an assortment of characters will lead to a successful end.

We meet the good, the bad and the ugly.  They may all perfectly qualify for purchasing a property, and if your intentions are to be the selling agent, you have to immediately establish a common ground and bond.  That bonding will allow you the time to find the right property and deliver both of you to the closing table.

On a similar note, a listing agent needs to establish a rapport with the seller in order to secure the listing.  Again, sellers come in all shapes, sizes and socio-economic status.  We need to be able to communicate on every level.  A listing agent needs to mirror because people are most comfortable with those who are similar to them.  The real estate profession takes much practice.  The more experience you have, the easier it is to become a chameleon with any personality type and that means more transactions.
