Thinking ahead is the first step in succeeding with a plan. When we have a goal to reach and a plan of attack to accomplish that goal, we need be forward thinkers. We hear that term a lot, don’t we, but how many of us are really following that path?
One of my tasks this month is to reprogram the agents within our firm. I previously limited the number of agents to my office in Franklin MA. Today, it’s been expanded to the 95 agents within our firm of RE/MAX Executive Realty.
I consider myself an intermediate blogger. I’m no longer technology challenged, but I’m not what anyone would consider tech savvy. I know just enough to teach the basics of blogging, and that’s one of my goals this year as a manager.
To succeed at this challenge, I would have to create a system for each agent to use Internet marketing for their listings. I think a template for blogging and an introduction to Realbird will satisfy this goal. The rest is up to the agents to follow through and create a program that works for each of them.
We need to have a feeling of urgency to learn and apply whatever is needed to accomplish online marketing. The more agents within a firm use the Internet to market their inventory, the greater the strength of each office within that firm and each agent within every office.
We do get strength from each other. The more agents who understand this concept, the easier it will be to do business. Each agent within an office has an influence on other agents. Working in at a common goal will result in all of the agents functioning better and working with systems rather than on a “wing and a prayer.” An office is a team and, for many, success starts with the team leader. This is especially true in today's market.
