We all need motivation to perform better, and people are motivated for different reasons. When it comes to online marketing, my motivation is to make my phone ring and to capture most of the titles on page one with a Google search for a variety of important keywords for our niches. What that means to me is that I need to blog every day and on a variety of platforms.
I do; I will continue and I’ll do it more efficiently with better content. I’m motivated. Most agents have no desire to attempt to learn online marketing. They’re not motivated enough now but they will be in the future when the pressure is on them to make money. This is especially true of agents who have no other employment skills.
When a person is motivated, the task is a priority. Nothing will interfere with that task being accomplished. Motivation results in a relentless drive. It can be a stimulus that shields itself from negativity and a passion that is full of excitement and eagerness to succeed.
If one is motivated to improve his/her income there is an enthusiasm that can’t be controlled. It borders obsession!! I’ve experienced it with marketing. All the stops have been pulled, and we go full force. We don’t market to part of the town, we market to the entire town; we don’t mail postcards every quarter, we send them every month; and we don’t do monthly open house events, we do them every weekend.
We are motivated to beat the market rather than have the market beat us. Not everyone has an intense desire to accomplish a challenge which means some folks have little or no motivation. It doesn't take long for "not now" to become "never!"
