Much Of What You Share Will Never Be Used By Others....So Why Do You Hesitate??

The act of sharing is not a common function in the real estate profession.  We're in a very competitive field and to reveal our methods and tactics for securing business is not commonplace.  Think about how much sharing of information and specific pointers you provide to other agents within your office.  Do You?

Is it routine for you to share a new trend or a new method that has made your phone ring recently?  Do you dare to share a marketing source that has been successful for you?

Whether it is blogging, direct mail marketing, cold calling or door knocking, everyone will accomplish it differently and apply a completely altered style to the method.  Sharing helpful information and giving direction to someone who is stagnant or in need of help is a sign of a stable and confident mentor who is not insecure about his/her ability to produce more business and does not need to protect and safeguard their successes.

We learned sharing at an early age, and those of us with children have passed that function along to them in their early years.  Are we so fearful of failing that we have suppressed those early childhood lessons?  Are you concerned about someone beating you at your own game?  Sharing makes you work smarter, and it provides you with new competition that compels you to sharpen your skills.  It makes you pay attention.  No one likes to take a bullet, especially when it's from their own gun!!!!
