Does Your Office Provide Spring Cleaning Within Its Confines???

The real estate business is not a profession for everyone, but one would never know that by the number of real estate agents in every locale.  Even in a small community of less than 10,000 people, you may find several real estate offices.

This profession, on the surface, appears to be one that is suitable for anyone.  The requirements are minimal, and a formal education is not a prerequisite.  If you can pass the test, you're in.  The real estate profession is still stigmatized from the day of the "kitchen broker."  The broker who did not have an office and grabbed whatever came his way for a lead.  It was a hit or miss way of making an extra buck.  Think about the agents within your office.  How many "kitchen agents" do you see working in your environment?  I can see a few in the firm in which I work.  They've been removed from our Franklin office with my assistance, and that was a happy day for those remaining.

In my opinion, every office needs to have a spring cleaning.  Everyone with a license should not be implementing the use of that license.  As the weak are removed, those with strength work more efficiently.  If a top producer is dismissed, those remaining will always make up for that difference in production.  It's more beneficial to have an office environment where everyone bonds rather than to have one high producing agent who causes friction and unrest amongst the troops.  Removing a top producer also relays an important message to all that "anyone can be replaced."
