
How does a new real estate agent get off the blocks with new construction? The easiest way is to preview the properties and ask the listing agent to give you a tour. If the listing agent is doing his/her job, that person will be there and explain every feature to you. Take good notes, learn the details and then find a buyer to show it to.
If the new construction is listed in your office, ask the listing agent if you could hold an open house on a Sunday afternoon for a few hours. What a great way to pick up a few new buyers and possibly sell one of the homes in the subdivision. Everyone needs help with open house events.
As long as you have learned the information so the answers to questions can roll off your tongue, you'll do a great job and you may even impress someone. This is how we train our new agents who help us cover our open house events. It works well for us, and it gives the newbie a jump start with business.
