Attitude radiates in many ways. When a listing agent plants a sign in front of a home, and it was done quickly and not installed deeply enough, that sign will slowly start slumping. How many times have you seen a falling sign or a damaged sign in front of a home? What is your first thought? It's probably the same thought every potential buyer has when they see it. That listing agent does not care.
There are many listing agents who have a collection of listings and each one is nothing more than an entity that is thrown up against the wall and if it's sticky it will stick and if it's not it will fall. That's an attitude that is very transparent with a fallen sign or an empty brochure box in front of a home.
Weather conditions can alter the "for sale" signs. They need to be monitored frequently. Brochure boxes need to be filled at all times. We leave extras at resale homes, so the home owner can fill it when it is empty. We monitor all new construction sites daily and make sure there is no debris at the entrance, the brochure box is filled and the signs are plumb. All of those tasks are a reflection of the mind set of the listing agent. None of it is difficult, but it reflects an attitude that will have an influence on future business.
