We're seeing more agents from other areas showing our listings. I think it's a bonus for us. We listed a property a few days ago, and the first showing was a call from an agent from a distant area. The agent did not have access to a lockbox and had several properties he wanted to show. He was having a difficult time with listing agents cooperating with him and accompanying the showings.
The agent showed three properties and one was ours. The other two properties were made available to him because the owners were home. Lorraine accompanied ours and gave the buyers and their agent a grand tour. She answered questions about the town of Franklin and the Franklin School System.
Yesterday, she was sent a full price offer on the property. Does it pay to cooperate with buyer agents? It's the listing agent's job to make sure the listing is available to all buyers and their agents who want to see it, regardless of where they are from. Good representation is promoting the listing and the town, and when that's done properly, sales happen. Are you the listing agent that your seller thinks you are? My team members are, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
