We've all heard the old adage "what goes around, comes around" but how many of us really live by that saying. The sales industry has a reputation of being a private, keep it to yourself, and don't share that information type of profession. It's survival of the fittest. It's always a thought and concern that if you give away your secrets to success, someone may shine brighter than you!! This mentality is typical in the real estate industry, but it's not the right path.
I'm a firm believer of "what goes around, comes around" and it's continually been rewarding to me. I've been blessed so many times, in so many ways and by so many people because of very minor acts of sharing information, giving direction or just helping. The return has always been more than the giving, and the feeling of accomplishment from giving is beyond what words can describe.
There is nothing more rewarding than to see someone achieve because of your sharing of information. This happens within my office continually. I've been rewarded with much business in the past from giving. ActiveRain has become a wonderful vehicle to utilize in giving and receiving valuable information and direction with business. There are many here who freely share their experience and thoughts. It promotes and encourages others to share that information forward and continue to help others gain strength and confidence. "What goes around, does come around" and the more people who participate, the stronger our profession will become.
