Does it seem that agents are working less as the market continues to decline? Are agents becoming lethargic and losing interest in meeting the new challenges that we are facing? This declining market has a reputation of separating the pseudo successful from the agent who works relentlessly to maintain a certain level of production. A declining market separates the two.
In a post previously written by Fernando Herboso, he quoted Warren Buffett by stating that "when the tide goes out, those who are swimming naked are fully exposed." This was such an appropriate quote, and I'll never forget it. There are now so many agents who need to find a towel to wrap around their naked butts until the tide turns again. When that tide changes, those agents will once again ditch the towel, tread water and survive. It's just the nature of our business.
