How will you prevent yourself from being weeded out of business in the near future? Prospecting is the only action that will keep you in the real estate game in today's market. Consider prospecting a casino game just like roulette. If you only make one phone call or send out one postcard, your return will be zero. To receive a response from that one call or postcard is a long shot. If you've ever taken a course in probability and statistics, you know how the numbers game works.
One needs to play consistently, just as one needs to prospect consistently to win. This is not a promotion for gambling, although, I do love to visit the casinos in Connecticut!!!! The more you prospect the better the chance of hitting upon a nice piece of business. Sometimes, it costs money to do it, but there are methods now whereby your time is the only investment needed.
Direct mail marketing is expensive and needs to be done consistently. Open house events can be blogged for exposure, many signs planted for exposure, and flyers printed and distributed to neighbors for exposure. Those are free. It takes time and effort. If you don't want to spend any money, your best option is with blogging, networking and open house events.
You cannot gain success without investing in one or the other.....time or money. Imagine the results, if you invested both time AND money into your business!!!!
