"#1 Team in Franklin's #1 Office"...Call 508-520-9881: The Class of 2010 Graduated Last Night

The Class of 2010 Graduated Last Night

The class of 2010 graduated last night and my oldest granddaughter, Brittany, was one of the graduates.  How time speeds by without us realizing.  As we were sitting in the audience waiting for Pomp and Circumstance to begin, we were reminiscing about how it seemed to be not so long ago that we were sitting in the waiting room in anticipation of Brittany's birth!!

The ceremony was very nice, and I did my usual crying jag as she walked past us to receive her diploma.  On to college now, and we'll cry again in another 4 years!!!

This morning brings another important happening.  Norman, Brittany's boyfriend, left for training for 30 days and will then be deployed to Afghanistan.  Norman's brother, a helicopter pilot, is home for a short spell and was at the graduation, also.  He leaves in a few days to go back to Iraq.

Norman's parents did a great job of raising those boys and there's another younger one at home who is already talking about joining the military to be with his brothers.

May God watch over Norman and return both brothers home safely.

Barbara, beautiful post this morning.  I'm sure you're very proud of Brittany, and well you should be.  Congratulations to her!

My best wishes go out to Norman, his brother, and the youngest who is talking about joining the military, and my thanks to all of our servicemen and women who are fighting for our freedom.  May they all return home safely!

It's great to hear you say what a great job his parents did raising their children.  We don't hear enough of that today!

Make it a great weekend Barbara.

Indeed Barbara, I can't imagine what any parent is feeling who has a child that is serving our country right now.  They are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Barbara - What a proud moment for you, your family and Brittany.  Congratulations!  My thoughts and prayers will be with Maureen's sons who I call patriots for their service to our country.

Maureen - I would like to take a moment to personally thank you for raising such wonderful sons who have answered the call to duty.  They are very special young men who will be standing strong along so many others who are fighting each day for our liberty and freedom.

I know how scared you must be and there are no words to describe as a mother what it feels like when your son goes off to war.  My son has served two tours Afghanistan and two in Iraq and I know exactly what you're going through right now.  My youngest brother is currently in Afghanistan and we are waiting for him to come home for a two week leave in August.  It is family and friends that will be there for you as will I in praying for the safe return of your boys. God Bless you!
