Considering what we get for an empty 1.5 acre lot, this is a steal. Would you believe a mound of 1.5 acre dirt goes for about 1MM in my area?
what????? if you pay 1million for a lot, you have to build a $3.5 to $4million dollar home.....who the hell's going to buy that today?????? you and your husband better move to my area.....1.5 acre lot can be bought for $125-$150,000......you build a mid $400's home on it.
There are buyers but very few these days. And FYI a 8000sq ft home top of the line finish and details would cost the builder 1MM and perhaps sell for 2.5MM- 3.5MM. Now they are lucky to make 100-300 on a sale. His only advantage is the commission that comes back to me (however small it is).
you should be making $150k yourself......get out of that place!!!!

That is Long Island Barbara :) Ellen is on the North Shore and there are more luxury homes there. I'm here on the South Shore and luxury homes are not as plentiful in my immediate area.
Jackie.....my daughter, Tammy, lived in patchogue......before they bought, they rented in blue point, bayport and sayville.....I know all of those towns.....I almost moved to Long Island....I love it out east.....hey, we could have had a hell of a team!!!
